Perth

Perth was the third and final stop on my trip, and it proved to be an exciting destination with endless possibilities. I stayed at the Mantra on Hay, a hotel that felt more like an apartment—spacious and comfortable.

One of the highlights of my visit was Rottnest Island, home to the adorable quokkas, a small, furry creature that are too cute to handle. The island also hosts many beautiful beaches. My first stop was Pinky Beach, an ideal spot for snorkeling due to its abundance of algae and sea plants, which attract a variety of fish. There’s a nearby restaurant, but be warned—the vegetarian options are limited, and the food is average at best.

Next, I visited Thompson Bay, another fantastic snorkeling location with diverse marine life. While snorkeling, I was lucky enough to spot numerous fish and even a stingray—I’m not kidding! Unfortunately, the shower facilities at the beaches were less impressive, as they were sandy and quite dirty.

The following day, I explored the Fremantle Market, which offered a great selection of items to buy. I picked up an anklet and a face mask as souvenirs. For food, the Moore & Moore Cafe is a lovely option, and if you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, don’t miss Ben & Jerry’s. Perth is a wonderful place to visit, but make sure to pack sunscreen.

Also, be sure to check out the Boorloo Bridge, which stretches across the Swan River—it offers an unforgettable view, especially at sunset.
